EXAMPLE WORK

This portfolio of post-production work was created as the product for my final year Major Project. The hypothesis for the work was: ‘Does creating a good post-production soundtrack depend on a studio environment and a high budget? Or can rich soundscapes be created on a lower budget outside of a studio? Providing independent film makers information on whether studios are vital for post-production.’ This meaning that all work was completed at home with a low-budget and minimal equipment. This due to the Coronavirus Pandemic and lockdown restrictions.

This work was completed for a 'Designing Sound' module. This work used recorded sounds and sampled sounds to create sound for a Kobe shoe advert. Wavetable and granular synthesis were experimented with to generate sounds for this clip.

This work was completed for a 'Designing Sound' module. This work used recorded sounds and sampled sounds to create sounds for clips of Star Trek spaceships. Techniques like doppler shifting and synthesis were used to create the soundscape.

This work was completed for a designing sound module. The work shows that I can complete sound design work for more intense scenes by recording my own sounds and also using sounds libraries.
